To preserve

My question was simple. What can I do to preserve this moment? “A mommy moment” to share with my mum.

The first day of school is indeed a celebration, it’s widely celebrated around all communities alike. Clean faces and combed hair-if your lucky maybe the little bugger brushed their teeth. Just don't ask me if they had clean socks.

This concept was cracked up at about 10 pm thursday night. Prints were complete by about 11 followed by scrounging through the laundry for something clean to wear shortly after.

With a wing and a prayer; we made it-through infancy then fast-forward to turning five, running into summer and right into the first day of school for a kindergartener. Don’t blink!

Here I share with you my talent. Thought, concept, design, print, photo, editing including music, snipping it down to precision. It’s the behind the scene story that was a mark of patience. I had talked and engaged my kids for 2 days prior to the first day of school, scheming up ideas to engage, to excite, to evolve, on just their involvement-nothing else. Why? Because it matters. To document and to share. My Mom is not by my side and my father has passed. For them and in their honor I wish to create. This is their life and here it is. Unbridled joy in a 10 minute rush of photos running to capture their giggles, pulled together in this whimsical short clip vid.
