Flapper Fotos is a live, on-the-spot photo experience created exclusively for the History Center of Olmsted County's Dancing Through the Decades gala — where glamour, history, and community come together on one unforgettable dance floor.
Whether you've arrived in sequins and a feather boa or your finest decade-inspired attire, our team is here to capture you at your most dazzling — and put a printed photograph in your hands before the night is over.
How it all started
It began with a pitch, a pause, and a room full of laughter.
When the opportunity arose to partner with the History Center of Olmsted County for their Dancing Through the Decades event, the idea for an on-site photo experience came together in an instant. In the middle of presenting the concept, the name just spilled out — "Flapper Fotos!" The room went completely silent. Then it erupted.
The name stuck. The idea was adopted on the spot. And from that moment, the planning began in earnest — flapper dresses for the team, planning, locaiton, lights, paper, power, and all the logistics that make a seamless live photo experience possible.
